American adds a bus service from Philadelphia

American Airlines is introducing another bus link from its Philadelphia hub through Landline.

While the carrier's initial bus routes began on June 3, a third route to Lancaster, Pennsylvania (LNS) will commence on August 16.

Lancaster will join existing bus lines to Allentown's Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) and Atlantic City's Atlantic City International Airport (ACY).

Travelers to or from these locations may book connecting flights with American, which include a Landline bus portion.

Cirium itineraries suggest American's final trip between Philly and Allentown was in May 2020. Cirium hasn't travelled to Atlantic City or Lancaster since 2003.

Lancaster is covered under the Department of Transportation's Essential Air Service (EAS) programme, which subsidises airlines to service minor airports.
