After a printing error, an Iowa man wins a $1 million lottery jackpot

After a cashier made a mistake printing his tickets, an Iowa man took home a $1 million lottery prize.

Josh Buster, a 40-year-old cook from West Burlington, requested five "easy-pick" Mega Millions tickets for the drawing on April 15 at a convenience store.

However, Buster claims that the cashier only printed one play at first, then printed the remaining four plays on a separate ticket.

Buster remarked in a news release from the Iowa Lottery, "I feel like that changed the numbers that I would have gotten if he had put them all on one instead of making that error."

"I don't generally have good luck," he said in the news release, "so I assumed it was a mistake and there would be an error."

"So I checked the lottery numbers on Google to make sure I got them correct, and I did! The remainder of the day is spent waiting to wake up from a nightmare."
