An 'obnoxious' deer is causing worry.

Residents are concerned about a deer that has growths covering its body, but Colorado Park and Wildlife (CPW) says everything is fine.

Wildlife Officers decided to investigate after receiving multiple reports from people of the community regarding the deer.

They wanted to make sure the animal was uninjured.

CPW defined the deer's growths as warts, which are cutaneous fibromas produced by a virus, in a Facebook post.

"The deer is fine," CPW reported, "walking around fine, eating fresh green-up, and acting like a deer."

"For the time being, we're going to leave the deer alone, but we'll keep an eye on it."
