A California couple admitted to grand theft in connection with a gambling scheme that bilked a casino of over $500,000 in cash.
Prosecutors said Eric Nguyen and Khan “Tina” Tran, a husband-and-wife baccarat cheating team at the 580 Casino in Livermore, conspired.
They must also pay $507,600 in restitution.The couple was arrested in Texas on May 6, 2020, on California felony warrants.
"Breaking the law is never the right way to succeed," said Attorney General Bonta. "Our state will not tolerate crime.
Bonta announced a $3.5 million judgement against Pong Game Studios Corp. in September.
