Jordan Spieth's illness shocks golfers

Three-time major winner Jordan Spieth is presently recovering from sickness as the U.S. Open gets underway in just 24 hours.

There is a severe stomach illness going around for Jordan Spieth, according to his agent, Jay Danzi. His early departure from Brookline was due to this reason.

Spieth, on the other hand, seems to be well-rested and hydrated. As a consequence, he intends to play in the first round of the US Open on Thursday.

Spieth has a chance to create his own "Flu Game" this weekend after the revelation that he has been diagnosed with a rare form of influenza.

If Spieth's status for the first round changes, that's OK with me.
In the meanwhile, he's scheduled to play alongside Max Homa and Adam Scott at 7:29am ET.

The opening round of the US Open will be aired on NBC and USA Network.
