Hal Mumme, a former head football coach at the University of Kentucky, was taken into custody early Friday morning at 12:30.
The citation for his arrest states that he is being charged with resisting arrest and second-degree criminal trespassing.
When Mumme was taken into custody, he was located at the Hyatt Regency in the downtown area of Lexington.
According to the police, he was ordered to leave the building many times but refused to do so each time.
They further claim that he became combative when they attempted to physically arrest and remove him from the premises.
