LMPD officer saves kittens on duty

The Louisville Metro Police Department wears many hats, but rescuing some fuzzy creatures who are in need of assistance is often just another normal day at the office for them.

According to a post on Facebook made by the Kentucky Humane Society, an LMPD officer discovered four orphaned kittens hiding beneath the porch of an abandoned home.

The kittens were only a few weeks old.

When the officer took the kittens to KHS's office, the kittens were believed to be in a vulnerable situation, according to KHS.

They were thankful that they were still able to assist the kittens in becoming healthy, and they conveyed their thankfulness in their post.

Protecting and serving everyone of Metro Louisville, including our animal companions.
