Man convicted of torturing and killing teen

A Michigan man was found guilty Friday of shooting and kicking an 18-year-old woman to death while filming the attack.

Andrew Lafey, 22, was found guilty of first-degree murder, torture, and felon in possession of a firearm on Feb. 16, 2021.

Prosecutors say Lafey broke Brickley's jaw and stomped on her for up to 11 minutes while "taunting" her, WZZM reported.

Brickley's body was found buried in snow in Maple Grove Township the next day.

Lafey is due in court on June 9. First-degree murder carries a maximum sentence of life without parole.
