"I was simply out here cleaning my gardens when I happened to peek over and see something moving swiftly on the wall."
So I went over to investigate and saw a peculiar worm," said Liz Baker, a Lewiston resident.
They're an invasive species with a flat head that feeds earthworms and has chemicals in its skin that can irritate humans, according to NC State.
"I have gardens, therefore earthworms are fantastic; I require them."
Baker stated, "I can't have anything around here that damage people."
