Police locate "incendiary devices" after suspect hit 3 children

Three toddlers were injured by a car Monday in Orange County, California, authorities said. Police discovered several "incendiary devices" in the car.

Santa Ana police say a suspect drove onto a sidewalk and hit three children at Taft Elementary. All three youngsters are stable, SAPD reported.

According to a letter from Santa Ana Unified School District to parents, two of the youngsters attended Taft Elementary. The third fatality was a relative taking the other two to school

CBS Los Angeles said the oldest victim is in 5th grade.
CBS Los Angeles identified the suspect as 26-year-old Jason Guzman of Valencia.

Surveillance footage shot soon before the incident shows the suspect's car abruptly braking and accelerating. The automobile suddenly leaves frame and the crash is audible.

CBS Los Angeles reports that authorities discovered the guy stabbed in his car. Santa Ana police Sgt. Maria Lopez said the stab wound seemed self-inflicted.
