What would an aged, near-scratch amateur shoot at Southern Hills?

OKLAHOMA – When major championship professionals make it seem simple on TV, a passionate amateur golfer can't help but wonder what he or she would shoot.

When I watched Cirque du Soleil, I never considered leaping from a window into a trampoline. I didn't feel inspired to sing after seeing Billy Joel live. Clint Eastwood said, "Know your limits."

But when I see magnificent golf courses, I wonder what I could accomplish there. But not much.
I set out to prove it in April. Back tees. In the air.

On a very lengthy Southern Hills Country Club. Anthony Owens helped Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, and Justice Thomas practise at Southern Hills before the PGA. So that's good.

My round demonstrated nothing new. It's no secret that professionals are better than my near-scratch handicap. This was never a pace-check

It was exciting to view the holes from where they play, even though it took me five additional clubs to reach the greens.
