Monday morning, a bison gored a 25-year-old lady in Yellowstone National Park.
A traveller approached a bison on a walkway near Old Faithful, 10 feet away.
The Ohio visitor suffered a puncture wound and other injuries, the agency said. She was taken by ambulance to the Idaho Falls hospital.
"The event continues under investigation," the National Park Service stated Tuesday. Yellowstone's wildlife is wild and deadly.
Two more people were within 25 yards of the same bison. Bison have wounded more humans than any other animal in Yellowstone, according to the National Park Service.
